Actor Rejects Anti-Vaxxer Stance After Narrating Controversial Coronavirus Feature

Liam Neeson has provided his vocal talents to a feature-length documentary that challenges the safety of vaccines and praises one-time health official RFK Jr.

The Film's Disputed Foundation

Called "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is based on a popular book written by a controversial scientist, who gained notoriety during the pandemic for allegations that the virus was caused by a problematic version of the flu vaccine.

The publication's collaborator, a producer, has penned books with controversial media personality Alex Jones. He wrote online hailing Neeson's role in the film.

A Strong Statement

A spokesperson for the actor have provided a response strongly denying implications that he subscribes to anti-immunization views.

"We all understand that corruption can exist within the medical sector, but that must not be equated to rejection of vaccines," the comment states. "Neeson has never been, and is not, against vaccines. His considerable work with Unicef underscores his enduring support for public-health initiatives."

The response noted that the actor did not shape the film's narrative and that concerns about its assertions should be directed to the producers.

Central Assertions In the Feature

As presented, the voiceover spoken by Neeson includes several provocative claims:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to government bodies.
  • It argues that "science has become highly politicised."
  • RFK Jr is shown claiming, "The big problem with vaccines is that they simply are not properly vetted."
  • It takes aim at stay-at-home orders, arguing they caused psychological harm that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of pandemic shots, it mentions a view that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Historical Controversy and Recent Issues

The documentary also references a past television report about AIDS medication trials on children, which was subsequently the topic of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for violations of guidelines.

Recently, Kennedy directed the national health agency to revise its longstanding position that there is no link between immunizations and autism. This assertion is echoed in the film, despite a new report from the World Health Organisation reiterating no connection has been found.

A Past Record of Endorsement

Contrasting the film's tone, Neeson has formerly shown strong support for vaccines in his role as a Unicef global ambassador.

Previously, he described vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," stating that "The debate about vaccines in the past few years has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."

"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's narration proclaiming, "This marks not the conclusion of our story. This is the beginning of a different phase."
