Defiant Celtic's manager insists he is not worried about being fired yet Celtic fans unleash anger following loss.
The Celtic boss stated he was not afraid of the sack, asserting, “I believe we are very near to a turnaround,” in the wake of edging perilously close to being fired with a convincing loss to Rangers.
A Second-Half Capitulation Sees Derby Disaster
Celtic were in front Rangers at the interval but a second-half capitulation let the Gers to draw level on points with the reigning league title holders. The former MLS manager, who was hired from Columbus Crew, has now presided over six setbacks in his first eight matches.
“We are together with the board,” said the manager.
Pressed on the speculation, he responded: “I don’t think about it. I think about discovering solutions to get the team to excel on the fine details.
Protest Erupts

Nancy’s Persistent Belief
He remains focused on the fact his team show good levels for one half at a time. In fact, if not for missed chances they could have been more than 1-0 up. “The performance had merit except the fact that we haven’t scored more goals,” he said. “I accept that we lost, but I must remain objective.
“The standard we had at times was really, really, really high. That happened. I could not speak so positively if it was untrue. That is the reason, in terms of results, I mentioned we've seen this before. Which is why I feel a change is coming to getting it right. Currently: the fine margins.”
“I saw a lot of encouraging signs that we did, like today again. However comes down to sustaining it. My message would be different if it was not the case. This is why I am a big believer the team can to fix this.”
Röhl’s Cautious Stance
Danny Röhl was cautious about a championship push in spite of what felt like a huge result. “Step by step, so we can develop momentum,” he said. “The faith in the team is outstanding.”
