The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.
Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
