Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are demanding that a man who breached a fence and touched the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared clip reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the actors walked down a promenade accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though official papers indicated that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram profile contains videos of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney show in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last winter.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is clearly a punishable act," commented an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user questioned.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Several supporters accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented one more message on Instagram.

A number of fans also criticised security officers at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Event Details

In videos circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was approached by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.
